ZO Enzymatic Peel FAQs

What is the ZO Enzymatic Peel?

ZO Enzymatic Peel is an at-home glycolic acid facial peel that smooths uneven, rough-textured skin and revives dull-looking skin. It combines plant enzymes—papain and bromelain—with glycolic acid to gently exfoliate the surface, revealing a brighter, softer, and more radiant complexion.

Who should use ZO Enzymatic Peel?

This peel is ideal for anyone looking to improve skin texture, brighten dull skin, or reduce visible signs of sun damage. It is suitable for most skin types, including sensitive skin, but those with Rosacea or highly reactive skin should consult a Face Dr Skin Expert before use.

How does ZO Enzymatic Peel work?

The formula combines papain and bromelain plant enzymes with glycolic acid to gently exfoliate dead skin cells. This dual approach refines skin texture, evens skin tone, enhances radiance, and prepares the skin to better absorb other ZO treatments.

How often should I use ZO Enzymatic Peel?

For most skin types, using it 1–2 times per week in the evening provides optimal results. Overuse can cause irritation, so start gradually and follow your Face Dr Skin Expert’s guidance.

Can I use ZO Enzymatic Peel with other ZO products?

Yes. It enhances the benefits of other ZO treatments, including serums, moisturizers, and cleansers. Avoid combining it with other strong exfoliants or retinol on the same day unless advised by a Skin Expert.

Can ZO Enzymatic Peel help with acne or breakouts?

Yes. By exfoliating dead skin cells and unclogging pores, it helps prevent blackheads and blemishes. However, it is not a spot treatment. For severe acne, targeted ZO products should be used. Discover our acne collection here.

Why choose ZO Enzymatic Peel over other exfoliators?

Unlike harsh chemical peels, ZO Enzymatic Peel harnesses the power of gentle plant enzymes combined with glycolic acid to deliver a safe, effective exfoliation. It leaves skin feeling smoother, looking brighter, and radiating a healthy glow—perfect for regular at-home use.

Does ZO Enzymatic Peel help reduce the appearance of fine lines?

Yes. Regular exfoliation with ZO Enzymatic Peel can smooth skin texture and minimize the appearance of fine lines, especially when combined with antioxidant serums or moisturizers.
